I had an OK time of it yesterday. I didn't eat anything especially healthy except an apple for my late afternoon snack. I think it was a Fuji. Red and yellow striped, a firm skin and bite, with a sweet meat that didn't have that bitter aftertaste. Yum. I did take a second glance at my portions. Usually when I eat Chinese food (leftovers from the other day) I will heap it on. I love me a huge greasy bowl of fried rice! This time, it was a medium sized bowl of fried rice... Yes I know, it was still fried rice, but give me a break!
I have yet to have my aha moment. I'm sure it wont click for a while, and I still need to purge the fridge and pantry and go shopping to replace everything. I don't know if I could go grocery shopping with my fiance and walk out of there with two or three healthy meals. I mean healthy. None of the fun stuff. I think after a couple of weeks, I should have my aha moment. I just hope that I can hang in there until it happens.
My fiance is making brisket AND homemade bacon baked beans tonight on the grill. He started to BBQ at 8:15 AM and probably wont be finished until early evening. DELISH! So... I will have some of his brisket and beans, but i think my main course should be a salad. I wonder what kind of salad goes best with BBQ?
